Sinochem President Rated Among Top 10 China People in Business
OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2013. Fortune (Chinese Version) released the list for “China’s Top 50 Most Influential People in Business”, where Sinochem Group President Liu Deshu has been listed among top 10 for three consecutive years.
Fortune commented that President Liu Deshu has “a profound grip on the reform and development of state-owned enterprises”, and under his leadership, “Sinochem Group has become one of the few Chinese enterprises allocating resources around the world with global market operation as leverage” and also “one of the few central enterprises that have been rated as A-class enterprises for 8 consecutive years since the performance assessment of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) first launched”. “In 2012, with stagnant market conditions and tough operating environment, Sinochem Group still realized steady growth with its profits remaining at a high level of more than RMB10 billion.” In addition, Fortune also mentioned that Sinochem Group ranked the first among the World’s Most Admired Companies under trade company category this year, “achieving the best performance of Chinese enterprises on the list”.
In the assessment and selection of the “Top 50 Most Influential People in Business”, Fortune gave consideration to such factors as corporate size, industrial prospects and entrepreneur’s personality.
In addition to President Liu Deshu, other figures among Top 10 of the list include Ren Zhengfei from Huawei, Ma Huateng from Tencent, Yang Yuanqing from Lenovo, Yu Liang from Vanke, Dong Mingzhu from Gree, Ma Yun from Alibaba, Xiao Gang from Bank of China, Song Zhiping from China National Building Materials Group Corporation and China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation and Liu Qiangdong from 360buy Group.
