Vladimir Putin learned about the work of private logging and timber processing companies at the Badinskoye forestry in the Trans-Baikal Territory.

Businessmen told the President about the problems they encounter in their work, in particular high interest rates on loans, inflated tariffs for leasing forest land and the lack of road infrastructure.

After completing the agenda in the Trans-Baikal Territory, Vladimir Putin arrived in Ulan-Ude, the capital of Buryatia, where he has started a meeting of the State Council Presidium on strengthening the Russian timber sector.
