OREANDA-NEWS. PROMT, a leading Russian developer of linguistic IT solutions for both corporate clients and private users, announces that PROMT now is an associated partner of the Russian-Finnish IMU project (Integrated Multilingual E-services for Business Communication). The project aims at creating a service that will help develop Russian-Finnish business and tourism by solving communication problems.

It is widely known that business globalization is complicated not only by state borders, but also by language barriers. This is exactly what the new project is designed for – to help break down these walls. Russian and Finnish entrepreneurs will enjoy all the benefits of an extensive set of modern language services, including automatic and "live" translation, dictionaries, electronic phrase books, and a call center. These services will be available through a website, mobile application as well as via a telephone.

"We tried to consider all aspects of language interaction," – Head of PROMT's Department for International Trade, Alexey Lyapunov, said. "The employees of Russian and Finnish companies will get an effective tool that will help them with business communication, contacts with authorities, and during business trips."

The lead partner of the project is Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Helsinki (Kouvola unit). Beside PROMT Russian partners of the project are St. Petersburg Information and Analytical Center , St. Petersburg Committee for Informatization and Communication, and the Russian Tourism Industry Union. From the Finnish side the project involves such companies as TAK Oy, Promaco Oy, and Kouvola Innovation Oy. The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union, Russian Federation, and the Republic of Finland .
