OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2013. According to the National Bank of Moldova, as of the end of March, they amounted to USD 3 billion 469.08 million against USD 2 billion 515 million registered as of the end of December.

The decline in monetary reserves of NBM in January -March, 2013 was mostly determined by the decrease in exchange rates of currency that form monetary reserves against USD and by payments allotted to serve the external state debt of Moldova.

In particular, monetary reserves of Moldova increased USD 4.87 million in January, 2013 and decreased USD 31.79 million in February and USD 19 million in March. Within 2012 monetary reserves of Moldova increased USD 549.7 million, or 28%, being USD 2 billion 515 million as of December, 31, 2012.

The all-time peak of monetary reserves of Moldova was registered on February, 1, 2013 and made up USD 2 billion 525.01 million.
