ROSATOM Participates in Africa’s Largest Power and Energy Exhibition
OREANDA-NEWS. ROSATOM is among more than 200 exhibitors that are participating in Africa’s largest power and energy show. The exhibition which is known as the “Power and Electricity World Africa 2013” is an annual event which brings together 4500 stakeholders and decision makers in the power and energy industries from around the globe.
The show includes an exhaustive exhibition where power and energy companies will have the opportunity to showcase and promote their products and services. Included on the itinerary of the show is a 2 full-day workshop, 5 conference tracks and 150 on-floor seminars.
The theme of the Power and Electricity World Africa 2013 exhibition focused on different sources of energy such as thermal and nuclear generation, renewable energy, solar power and sustainable methods of generating clean power technology.
Exhibitors and participants at the show are coming from Russia, China and India,. the United Kingdom, France, Israel, Germany, Italy, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
Kim Frankental, Project Director of Power and Electricity World Africa says that the exhibition will be “unleashing the latest trends and technologies, project updates and news contributing to the sustainable future of Africa’s power and energy sector”.
ROSATOM as a world leader in the provision of a comprehensive and integrated nuclear energy package has erected a world class exhibition stand at the “Power and Electricity World Africa 2013” event.
Alexander Kirillov, the Head of ROSATOM’s Marketing Office in South Africa says more people are interested to learn more about ROSATOM’s operations. “Yesterday there were one thousand and twenty people who visited our stand. We also made a presentation to more than 200 representatives of various companies who are keen on our products”, Mr Kirillov says.
A handful of students who were on an educational tour of the exhibition wanted to know more about scholarship opportunities to study in Russia. They said that nuclear technology was a critical skill that was in short supply in South Africa. Alexander Kirillov says that Rosatom’s participation in the show is “part of a public information campaign to inform South Africa and interested parties from around the world about the capabilities and impressive track record of our organisation in the field of nuclear technology”. “We have been operating in the nuclear industry for decades and our expertise is unrivalled amongst our competitors”, Mr Kirillov said.
