OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2013. The Forbes Russian-language edition has ranked Sviaz-Bank among 100 biggest Russian banks the fourth year in a row. This year, the Bank placed 23rd in the high-reliability group of the top list.

The Bank has advanced 10 rungs up from 33rd place since 2010. According to the periodical’s figures, the Bank had 263.9 billion rubles in assets and 20.7 billion rubles in individuals’ funds, almost 4 billion rubles more than the year before, with 29.6 billion rubles issued in loans to individuals.

The Bank remains in the fourth of the maximum possible five grades of reliability since 2012. According to Forbes, the Bank is in the same reliability group as Alfa-Bank, the Bank of Moscow, Globex, and Promsviazbank.

“Russia’s most reliable banks,” the periodical writes, “are subsidiaries of major foreign lending institutions. They are followed by state-owned banks whose ratings are held down by Russia’s country rating.”

The performance figures above were calculated by Forbes using its own technique and may differ from the Bank’s official figures arrived at by using the technique of the Bank of Russia.
