The Works in North Area of Chongqing International Exhibition Center, which was under supervision by CISDI Engineering Group (CISDI Group), passed through acceptance inspection. And the first exhibition was opened on March 28, namely the 13th China Metal & Metallurgy Exhibition jointly hosted by Chongqing Municipal Government and China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

The Exhibition Center covers a total floorage area of 600,000 square meters and a net exhibition area of 200,000 square meters. Located in Yuelai Conference & Exhibition City, the core section of Liangjiang New District of Chongqing, the Center consists of 16 exhibition halls distribute symmetrically respectively in the south and the north. And this is the largest intelligent building in the West of China, which is designed with integrated functions such as exhibition, conference, catering, accommodation, entertainment and sport event.

Built nearby the mountain, Chongqing International Exhibition Center is a perfect combination of urban, forest and nature. Known as a unique garden-style exhibition center in China for culture and ecological events, it is rated as the new landmark of Chongqing in 2012. The Center is deemed to be of worldwide top level in terms of its ground bearing capability, exhibition area, architectural structure and transportation organization. The butterfly-shaped roof is constructed by utilizing aluminum-grating hollowed-out roof technique, the difficult level for construction is even higher than that of the Bird's Nest, the National Stadium for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
