Vyborg Shipyard Took Part in Finnish-Russian Commission
OREANDA-NEWS. The XIII session of the Finnish-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation took place in Turku. Within the frames of the session representatives of Vyborg Shipyard JSC made a report on the results of cooperation between Russian and Finnish shipbuilding companies, and also the further prospects connected with development of the North.
Vyborg Shipyard JSC is one of the largest shipbuilding companies of the North-Western Region of Russia with over 60-years’ experience in shipbuilding. Since the Shipyard was founded (1948) there have been built more than 200 different vessels with deadweight up to 12000 tons, total displacement over 1,300,000 tons.
Vyborg Shipyard employs more than 1500 people. Specialists of the Shipyard are certified by the leading international classification societies: Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Germanischer Lloyd, Bureau Veritas, RINA.
