Opening of Cuba’s market for Ukrainian grain is next in turn!

It was testified by a visit of the official delegation of Alimport (Cuba’s foreign trade company) to Mykolayiv city and by arrangements that had been achieved during negotiations with NIBULON’s management.

For information. Cuba’s company, supported by the government, is a member of the U.S.-Cuba Trade and Economic Council and within its activity ensures considerable part of import of food and agricultural products to Cuba.

Today Cuba, taking into account difficult weather conditions, poorly developed logistics, actively studies market of different countries and searches for new food suppliers. The Cubans consider Ukraine and first of all NIBULON to be among the most desired exporters.

Within their visit to Mykolayiv city the Cuban delegation, familiarizing themselves with the production facilities of the company (which ensure export), visited the transshipment terminal for shipment of grain and oil crops.

Taking into consideration that today it was the first acquaintance with your company, we studied NIBULON’s activity quite captiously and even watchfully. But our visit to the transshipment terminal has changed everything, we highly appreciated NIBULON’s range of work, its export possibilities and the European level of work. We paid particular attention to ensuring of agricultural commodity quality. NIBULON controls it constantly, at all stages – from transportation, storage, and shipment up to receipt by a final consumer. It means that the company can fulfill the requirements as to product quality”, noted Guillermo Herrero, director of Ommiacrest Trading Lda which represents Alimport Company in CIS countries.

Besides, the guests negotiated with NIBULON’s management including with Andriy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON’s deputy general director of commerce.

According to Ariel Fiallo Semina, Alimport commercial director, despite our first visit to Mykolayiv city lasted only two days, we made a lot in order to sign agreements between our companies. “Having negotiated with NIBULON’s team we are satisfied with the results. We managed to achieve agreements as to the amount and terms of future supplies. First of all, our company plans to import Ukrainian corn, wheat and soya. You provided us with definite market mechanism of pricing, and now we have to take a timeout in order to coordinate all arrangements with our management. In fact, our fist bilateral contract has been already formed. I am sure that in the near future we will come to Mykolayiv city in order to sign the agreements”, he added.

Successful acquaintance of Alimport with NIBULON proved that Ukraine’s agrarian leader will open the next product market and its export geography will cover 61 countries of the world - from Cuba to Japan.
