OREANDA-NEWS. Huainan Economic Development Zone was officially upgraded to national development zone recently, which was the first national development zone in North Anhui.

Huainan Economic Development Zone was set up in May, 1998. Through more than 20 years' development, the area of zone was expanded and suporting facilities were improved continously. Currently, the development zone boasts more than 300 enterprises of all kinds.

According to Zhang Haitao, director of management commission of Huainan Economic Development Zone, after the upgrade, the zone will not only play a strategic role in the development of Huainan but also a radiation effect in revitalizing North Anhui.
