OREANDA-NEWS. NEC Corporation is providing new solution platform products featuring vertically integrated system components that are specialized for specific businesses and industries. "NEC Solution Platforms(TM)" are scheduled to begin shipping in Japan from June 2013. Shipments to international markets are also targeted.

NEC Solution Platforms are vertically integrated products that are optimally combined for specific applications and capitalize on a wide range of products and technologies, including servers, storage, software, networks, PBX/key telephones and NEC's vast experience in system integration.

These products can be integrated with IP telephony and feature the latest network technologies, including OpenFlow, and the ability to integrate with software from a variety of partners.

"When compared to the average system integration, NEC Solution Platforms reduce the time for system construction by as much as 60% and the CAPEX by as much as 40%," said Shinichi Shoji, senior vice president, NEC. "Moreover, stable system operations are realized by utilizing high-performance, highly-reliable technologies that were raised through the development of supercomputers and mainframes, in addition to leveraging know-how from NEC's extensive experience in system integration."
