OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2013. At session of the Government Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has instructed state agencies and governors of the regions to take all measures for quality spring field work.

"Implementation of the sowing campaign in optimal time depends on the work of governors, state agencies and agricultural producers in the regions. Therefore, I urge the Ministry of Agriculture together with the akims to ensure quality execution of all spring field work, necessarily, supplies of fuel and other logistical resources," Akhmetov said.

In addition, the Prime Minister stressed the need to take measures to increase acreage of priority crops and introduce new technologies in cultivation.

"We have raised this issue with the governors many times. However, the process of diversification in crop production is slow. I draw your attention to this problem," Serik Akhmetov addressed the regions’ akims.

He also charged KazAgro Holding together with the akims to ensure efficient use of funds, the Ministry of Oil and Gas to take measures on provision of the regions with diesel fuel in accordance with the approved schedule and memoranda.

"Overall, the level of preparedness is not bad. The Government has taken all necessary measures for financial, logistical support of spring field work," the Prime Minister concluded.
