OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2013. Sakhalin Energy issued its 2012 Sustainable Development Report. It is the company’s forth report produced in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard.

It is in line with B+ classification and, just as the previous two reports, was endorsed by the Council for Non-Financial Reporting of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) through the process of public assurance.

The report features information about production, business, environmental and social activities of Sakhalin Energy in 2012. Special emphasis is placed on company’s values and principals, its management system including risk assessments, HSE, human rights, social investments, etc.

Much consideration is given to such strategic aspects as personnel management and development, ecological and industrial safety, biodiversity conservation. The report also focuses on stakeholder engagement, engagement with employees, buyers, communities, etc. and to company’s input in sustainable development of Sakhalin.
