OREANDA-NEWS. April 03, 2013. A delegation of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) comprising Deputy Head of FAS Alexei Dotsenko and Deputy Head of the International Project Unit, of FAS Department for International Economic Cooperation Alexei Kondrashkin took part in an international conference “Russia and the European Union: Partnership and its Potential”.

The Conference was organized by Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) together with the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO) and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs with support of the Government of the Russian Federation.

The conference was launched with keynote addresses by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso.

Based upon the accumulated experience of cooperation between Russia and the European Union, the heads of the ministries and agencies, representatives of academia and large Russian business discussed further prospects of partnership in the context of the processes developing gin the world: the prospects of concluding a new agreement on partnership and cooperation with the EU, eliminating obstacles to direct investments of the EU member-states in Russia and Russian investments in the EU, as well as preliminary results of implementing the concept of “four common spaces”.
