OREANDA-NEWS. Joint stock company “Liepajas Metalurgs” informs that in the 1st quarter of 2013 the following product amounts have been produced and sold:

- steel produced: 163 118 tons;

- commercial billets sold: 31 983 tons;

- rolled products produced: 153 410 tons;

- rolled products sold: 186 144 tons.

During maintenance time of 25.03.2013 – 28.03.2013 joint stock company “Liepajas Metalurgs” together with “Fuchs Technologies” AG started cold and hot testing of post-combustion system (HTB) without starting-up of the electric furnace. This week this work is continued with the melt-shop complex in full operation in order to achieve optimal performance of HTB system to ensure air quality in accordance with the requirements of Latvian Republic State Environmental Department as already mentioned in the publication of 29.08.2012.
