NTT Communications to Launch Slide & Video Streaming in US
OREANDA-NEWS. NTT Communications Corporation announced the U.S. launch of "Gridow on NTT Communications," for projecting slides on a screen while simultaneously streaming video to the same screen.
NTT Communications currently provides a similar service in Japan, which it will now launch in the United States via distribution servers in U.S.-based data centers. Streaming from these local data centers will ensure minimized delay for U.S. users.
Gridow on NTT Communications allows companies to easily reach audiences with video content, such live events and sports or on-demand product promotions. Video streaming eliminates the need for viewers to download high volumes of video data. Video content integration is easy and the service is applicable to a variety of devices, including PCs and smartphones. Video can be recorded and synchronized with presentation slides and then streamed simply by using a PC connected to a web camera and a dedicated application. File formats are automatically converted for the user’s device (Windows/Mac for PCs, Android/iOS for smartphones and tablets).
The new service will help to meet increasing demands for communication tools to effectively promote products, deliver presentations, share information and conduct training. Until now, the combined delivery of presentation slides and video has required complicated and costly filming and synchronization.
Customers of Salesforce Chatter, a cloud-based secure, private social networking service provided by Salesforce.com for internal communications, can use Gridow on NTT Communications for closed groups, providing a safe and effective method for sharing information with internal personnel.
Gridow on NTT Communications requires an initial cost of 350 USD and monthly fees starting from 350 USD. Payments can be made through PayPal. Online application for Gridow on NTT Communications will be possible from March 29.
