OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2013. Deputy Governor Yi Gang attended the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of IDB in the Panama city. During the meeting, Deputy Governor Yi Gang met with IDB President Moreno and exchanged views on how to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

As the most time-honored and largest regional inter-governmental development financial institution, the IDB has a mandate to promote the economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. It has 48 member states. China became a member in January 2009.

At the invitation of the Central Bank of Cuba, Deputy Governor Yi Gang visited Cuba after the Annual Meeting. He shared China’s experience of economic and financial reform with the host. During the visit, he met with Marino Murillo Jorge, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Vice President of Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Standing Committee for the Implementation and Improvement of Economic and Social Policy, and Governor Ernesto Medina of the Central Bank of Cuba.
