OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Kazakhstan Oleg Dyomin in Ukimet Uyi.

The sides exchanged opinions on further strengthening of Kazakh-Ukrainian relations.

Akhmetov noted the need to expand cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. According to him, the two countries have great potential and all necessary conditions for that.

Mutual trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Ukraine increased by 24% to USD 5.5 billion at the end of the last year.

“We appreciate and respect our relations,” said the Ukrainian diplomat. He stressed that Ukraine was interested in developing cooperation on all aspects of interstate relations.

In addition, Akhmetov and Dyomin discussed the issues of preparation for Akhmetov’s oncoming official visit to Ukraine on April 4-5, 2013.
