OREANDA-NEWS. IRKUT Corporation for the second time held the Open door day for future students of Moscow region.

School students interested in aviation got acquainted with the Engineering Centre named after A.Yakovlev  the main design division of IRKUT Corporation. Leading experts of the Engineering Center told students about the creation of aircraft such as Yak-130 Combat trainer and MC-21 new generation civil airliner.

As part of the Open Day academic competitions in physics and mathematics were held. School children, who showed good results, received certificates certifying the right of applicant for a target enrollment in college.

IRKUT Corporation realizes the Target program as per the RF Government decree #421 dated 09.06.2010 under which high school graduates who have shown a desire to become aircraft designer and having the required level of knowledge can be referred to the target enrollment in leading Moscow universities such as The Bauman Moscow State Technical University and The Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University).

A part of students, who visited the Open door day last year, and took advantage of the program are now being trained in these universities.
