OREANDA-NEWS. Baltic Workboats has signed a contract with Estonian authorities for building two 45-meter, double end Passenger Ferries.

After successful tender in the end of last year Baltic Workboats was awarded the contract to design and build two new, 1A ice class car ferries for island connections for western Estonian sea areas. According to the tender there remained option also for third ferry.

The ferries will be able to accommodate 32 cars and 200 passengers, and the passengers can enjoy the scenery from a lounge situated above the vehicle deck.

In addition to 32 vehicles there will be option for second level car deck fitting 10 more cars.

First ferry will be ready in first half of 2015.
