OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2013. At the beginning of 2013 the State Mortgage Department (SMD) directed over UAH 7.5 mln for refinancing credits issued by banks for purchase of accommodation by citizens. Owing to SMD financing, another 43 families could have bought own flats in the current year. This was informed by head of board of the State Mortgage Department Valentyn Rybachuk.

“With legislative changes concerning registration of immovable property rights coming in effect, the amount of operations on mortgage market dropped slightly in January-February. But now, the registration system gradually entered the usual regime and a mechanism of mortgage crediting started operating,” Valentyn Rybachuk stressed.

As of March 26, 2013 the SMD has for consideration 177 applications from banks-partners for refinancing mortgage loans of citizens to the tune of UAH 40.7 mln.
