OREANDA-NEWS. The social work undertaken by Vale in the communities where it operates in Malaysia has earned our company a Social Service Award.

Organized by Asia-Pacific Enterprise Cooperation (AP-EC), the awards ceremony provided international recognition for corporate sustainable development and social responsibility initiatives conducted around the region.

Vale’s actions encompass study scholarships, training and programs in the fields of health, infrastructure and the generation of income and jobs. One of the most notable initiatives involves building a footbridge opposite a school in the district of Manjung, which is nearly completed and will be ready before the end of this month.
