OREANDA-NEWS.  “Market Council for Organization of Efficient System for Trading in Electrical Energy and Power”, Non-Commercial Partnership (Market Council, NP) took decision on Novgorodoblenergosbyt, JSC losing the wholesale electric power market participant status. In accordance with the regulating documents in effect in the energy market, the guaranteeing supplier functions in this case will be vested in the electric power grid company i.e. IDGC of the North-West, JSC (until a new tender arrangement). A decision to the effect is to be taken by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. The guaranteeing supplier status transfer to the grid company will not affect the tariffs while financial flows will become more transparent. Grid companies have obligations to disclose information on their activities following the procedure approved by the Government.
