OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2013. An official delegation of Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Algeria paid an inspection visit to the jobsite of Oran Stadium Project in Algeria.

This project was contracted by the 22nd China Metallurgical Construction Group (22MCC Group), with an audience capacity of 40,000 persons. The delegation members included: President Issa Hayatou of CAF; President Mohamed Raouroua of Algerian Football Federation (FAF); Governor of Oran Province; Mr. Bessaid Abdelkader, Governor Consultant of Oran Province; and heads of the Youth Sports Council and the Housing Bureau. Manager Guo Yong, Secretary & Vice Manager Zou Zijian and Vice Manager Han Yujun of Algerian Branch of 22MCC Group accompanied the officials during their visit. The TV stations and news agencies of Algeria and the local cities made live report on this visit.

Guo Yong extended warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the visiting delegation headed by CAF President. He stated that, as the contractor of this project, 22MCC Group would spare no efforts in accelerating the project implementation so as to ensure the timely completion of the works and deliver it for commissioning. Governor of Oran Province and the representative of the Employer gave a brief introduction to the project execution progress and the relevant infrastructures.

The visiting purpose of CAF President and his delegation members is to conduct on-site inspection and make assessment on the sports infrastructures, since Algeria has submitted bid to host African cup of Nations in 2019.
