OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2013. The Government has approved a resolution on allocation in 2013 of almost UAH 325 mln for measures in energy efficiency and energy saving. The funds were received from the European Union. A respective resolution was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Finance Ministry was commissioned to direct in the limits of expenses for the development in 2013 the remaining funds, that came in recent periods to the special fund of the state budget from the European Union under the Agreement on financing the program called “Support of implementation of energy strategy of Ukraine in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources”, to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

These funds to the tune of UAH 324 802.5 thousand will be directed to implementation of measures of the State target program on energy efficiency and development of production of energy carriers from renewable energy sources and alternative fuel for 2010-2015, approved with a resolution of the Government of March 1, 2010.

Targeting effective use of funds there were given respective commissions to the Finance Ministry, the State Treasury, the Ministry of Economic Development. The mentioned sum will be distributed in compliance with the Order of use of funds envisaged in the state budget for implementation of measures in effective use of energy resources and energy saving approved with a resolution of the CMU of October 17, 2011.
