OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2013. The Cabinet of Ministers approved a regulation of the President of Ukraine “On the commissioner of Ukraine to Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States”.

Pursuant to the document, the First Vice Prime Minister Arbuzov Serhiy Hennadiyovych is appointed the commissioner of Ukraine to the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Approval of the act will ensure participation of Ukraine in the activity of the CIS Economic Council which appears the principal body of the Commonwealth and secures realization of international agreements adopted in the CIS frameworks, decisions of the Council of the heads of the CIS states and Council of governments of the CIS states with regards to functioning free trade area and agreements in other economic cooperation issues.
