OREANDA-NEWS. Specialists of the Holding's subsidiary CJSC TITANENERGOREMONT will repair equipment and piping of the third power, adjust and balance air handling units 1-4 and special building, as well as repair machinery of Central Repairs shop of Balakovo NPP.

This year Balakovo NPP will see a scheduled overhaul of power unit 3 and beginning of overhaul of unit 2, which will carry on into 2014. In addition, all four power units will also receive current repairs, which will launch on March 26. Among the major works, which will be performed by CJSC TITANENERGOREMONT at power unit 3, the following core technological and electrical equipment will be repaired:

• instrumentation and automation equipment for the Thermal Automation and Measurements shop;

• equipping of unit pump station (UPS) at turbine section of the power unit;

• setup of relay protection and automation of electrical equipment at the power unit;

• control circuits for motor-operated valves, repair of circuits for main regulators RO; repair of compensator circuit, control and protection systems' electrical equipment;

• repair of devices ABP-1500 (uninterrupted power supply), relay protection and automatic equipment, power electrical equipment of the power unit.

After the repair of all four power units and special building is completed, the experts will adjust and balance vibrations of air handling units.

Back in August 2012 the specialists of the Holding's subsidiary company CJSC TITANENERGOREMONT completed repair of automatic process control systems and fire suppression systems. The work was carried out at the second power unit of Balakovo nuclear power plant, as part of preventive maintenance.

The specialists of TITAN-2 are involved in the repair campaigns at Balakovo NPP under a cooperation agreement with OJSC Atomenergoremont for 2012-2015. This agreement binds the Holding to participation in constriction and restoration works at of Rostov, Kalinin, Novovoronezh, Kursk and Smolensk nuclear power plants.
