Eurasia IC Pays Claim Payment for Damages of Road in Brazil
OREANDA-NEWS. On February 6, 2013 there was a strong concentration around km 50 of the highway, causing damage to two sections of the highway between Rio and Teresopolis in Brazil.
The most severe damage occurred in two areas highway that particularly flooded with water from the nearby river, down the hill, along the road.
To prevent condensation of water and small landslide slope was covered with plastic canvas, there was also made a partial clearing of the river to avoid the additional runoff.
The limit of liability under the contract of reinsurance risks from floods, earthquakes, is equal to USD5m for each accident. Eurasia Insurance Company will indemnify the builder’s damage, as soon as surveyor company experts will determine the exact amount of damage.
