OREANDA-NEWS. DTEK Krymenergo will enhance the reliability of power supply to the citizens of the Crimea’s capital city after the commissioning of a new 110-10 kV Kubanska substation in 2013.
The company will complete the construction of the new modern substation this September. The total cost of the construction is 46.8 million hryvnias.
The new substation will secure uninterrupted electricity supply to the Simferopolskyi and eastern districts of the Crimea’s capital city: Svoboda area, Borodynskyi market, Glinky Street Industrial zone, and the rural areas of Kamenka, Bile-1, Bile-2, and Bile-3. The Kubanska substation will be equipped with two modern 25 MVA power transformers with a sufficient capacity to meet the growing electricity demand in accordance with technical specifications.
“The shortage of power capacity is apparent,” said the General Director of DTEK Krymenergo Eduard Sokolovskyi.“The reason is that more and more buildings and structures are appearing in the city. The Kubanska substation is an important milestone in Simferopol’s energy system development. The last year alone, the Company connected over four thousand new consumers to its electrical networks. We have been actively contributing to the improvement of the Crimea’s infrastructure, upgrading our networks and commissioning new capacities to guarantee high quality power supply.”
