OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2013. Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the State Statistics Service record the reduction of vegetables prices. The situation in the vegetable market in Ukraine today is stable. In addition, there are all the prerequisites to such a price situation will be in the future.

The price of any product is formed depending on supply and demand. Thus, in recent years, Ukrainians have begun to consume more vegetables.

To ensure stable vegetables prices the Government has initiated a number of measures aimed at development food infrastructure. So, in Ukraine three wholesale markets of agricultural products actively operate.

Current retail prices of potatoes and vegetables, according to experts, are motivated. Thus, producer’s prices according to the Ministry provide a sufficient level of efficiency for the manufacturer. This is due, above all, with the activation of external customers. Thus, through these measures margin for retailers was reduced.

Also, it must be emphasized that the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Statistics Service regarding pricing for vegetable products are the same. Both institutions are fixed price reduction.
