OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2013. Ukraine is willing to further develop strategic relations with USA and cooperate on the basis of Charter on Strategic Partnership. It was stated by the President at the meeting with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the USA Wendy Sherman.

“Ukraine is willing to further develop strategic relations with USA. Our cooperation on the basis of Charter on Strategic Partnership is the key of efficient joint actions,” the President noted at the meeting with Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the USA. Ukraine appreciates the assistance of the U.S. in democratization of our state.

The Head of State also expressed hope that Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara and United States Secretary of State John Kerry would hold a meeting soon. “Such a contact between the newly-appointed heads of foreign political agencies is essential for providing the new bilateral agenda,” Viktor Yanukovych noted. He added that Ukrainian presidency in the OSCE was another interesting aspect that could have been included in the agenda of bilateral meeting.
