OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company's Haldia Power Plant was conferred with several Awards at INSSAN (Indian National Suggestion Scheme Association) 1st International Conference and 23rd National Convention Theme held at Jamshedpur.

The theme of the summit was "Innovation for Sustainable Business Growth". Tata Power's Haldia plant participated in categories including Slogan, Poster, Suggestion, Evaluator and Case study presentation.

Haldia team received 3rd prize for "Excellence in Suggestion scheme" from Chief Guest of the event Dr. J J Irani. The team also received awards under the Best Suggestions (2nd Prize), Best Evaluator (Merit Award) and Slogan- Hindi (Merit Award).

Speaking on the Award, Mr. Abhijit Ain Das - Station Head Haldia power plant said "We are extremely proud to receive these prestigious awards for our employees who have demonstrated excellent creative skills. Such suggestion sharing platforms in an organisation encourages its employees to contribute through their ideas and add value beyond their day-to-day operations. The award is based on three criteria- Creative Idea, Quality of presentation and Outcome of the Idea (savings). The purpose of these awards is to encourage and motivate employees in achieving excellence by obtaining effective involvement of its employees by generating and implementing creative ideas for continuous improvement of product, service and the people.
