OREANDA-NEWS. March 20, 2013. Baltic International Bank announced a competition of ideas for designing a special-occasion postage stamp dedicated to Bank’s 20-year anniversary. The competition is open to future artists, students of the art and design.

„Today’s talented youth is expected to build foundations for tomorrow’s future of our country. Young people take a fresh look at things and can offer non-standard ideas and the most innovative solutions. We think it’s important to support and encourage emerging talents who have already showcased their creativity in areas such as culture, art, science or sports and help them further hone their skills. As we’re looking for new creative ideas, we’ve turned to young upcoming artists,” Bank’s Chairperson of the Board Ilona Gulchak says.

Deadline for acceptance of the works is March 27. The selection will be made by the jury composed of Bank’s staff members and painting experts. The best work will be used for designing the jubilee stamp to mark Bank’s 20th anniversary (celebrated on May 3rd). The winner will be awarded a dream trip to one of the European countries, such as France, Spain or Italy, known as the cradle of Renaissance art and the gateway to contemporary art scenes.

The artists can freely choose the perfect colour palette and genre which would get the most out of the idea, while sticking to the main message to be conveyed by the work. The artwork should represent Baltic International Bank as a family-office bank committed to providing bespoke wealth management strategies.
