OREANDA-NEWS. By decree of Government of Russian Federation No.254-p of February 27, 2013, Dmytro Kiva, President – General Designer of ANTONOV Company, academician of National Academy of Science of Ukraine, and key specialists of ANTONOV: Oleksandr Semenets, Chief Designer, candidate of technical sciences, Henrih Ongirskii (posthumous), Chief Designer, candidate of technical sciences, Anatolii Yeretin, Deputy Head of Department, candidate of technical sciences, jointly with specialists of scientific and research institutes of Russia were honored with prize of Government of Russian Federation of 2012 in field of science and technology for investigations and implementation of efficient conception to support the AN-124-100 Ruslan airplanes’ airworthiness, extension of service life and operational time to 10000 flights, 50000 flight hours and 45 years. These indices surpass analogous data of 30000-45000 flight hours of C-17 and C-5M US transports.

ANTONOV Company is continually working on the Rulan upgrading. Just recently, three new versions of this aircraft have been developed and certified. They differ from the baseline aircraft with payload increased to 150 t, in twice longer service lives and time limits and the upgraded aircraft equipment.

To renew the Ruslan serial production, ANTONOV Company is developing modernized version AN-124-200 having higher transportation efficiency, increased flight range, wider rate of temperature operation conditions and runways length, “glass cockpit”, engines with FADEC developed in accordance with the newest ICAO standards.
