OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus needs to pursue a balanced policy on taxes and monetary management in order to support stable economic development.

Belarus’ Vice Economy Minister Dmitri Golukhov made a statement to this effect on Thursday at the 3rd international forum Capital Market of Belarus.

The vice minister praised Belarus’ stable economic performance in 2012: GDP growth at 1.5%, foreign trade surplus at around USD 3 billion, restrained inflation growth and reduced refinancing rate.

The official admitted, however, that Belarus needs to pursue a balanced policy on taxes and monetary management in order to keep up stable economic development.
