OREANDA-NEWS. DTEK Krymenergo strives to minimize the impact of all its operations on the environment by implementing the international standard ISO 14001:2004. Adherence to environmental management standards will promote the responsible attitude of the company’s employees to environmental protection and compliance with environmental requirements.

 DTEK Krymenergo has started the implementation of the ISO 14001:2004 standard, which regulates the operation of environmental management systems. The Company plans to obtain a certificate confirming its full compliance with the above standard by the end of 2014. By that time, the company will have its environmental management system designed and implemented. Currently, DTEK Krymenergo is introducing unified corporate standards in environmental protection building a reliable basis for further environmental activities, application of innovative methods of environmental protection management and strengthening the company’s environmental focus.

 “The ISO 14001:2004 certification is an important step that will bring us closer to European standards. We are introducing an environmental policy to minimise our ecological footprint. We have allocated the necessary staff and technological resources to reach this objective,” said Eduard Sokolovskyi, General Director of DTEK Krymenergo.
