GE welcomes Japan’s decision to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to negotiate a comprehensive, high standard agreement which will open markets and create jobs in both the United States and abroad. Japan’s decision to join the negotiations will greatly enhance the economic potential of the TPP, creating a large integrated Asia-Pacific market for GE and other companies. We encourage the member countries to continue negotiating with deliberate speed to conclude negotiations as expeditiously as possible.
