OREANDA-NEWS. In Bratsk Ludmila V. Bazhanova, Director of Vostochniy Branch of Ilim Garant, Ilim Group's corporate Charity Fund has met with Konstantin V. Klimov, Bratsk City Mayor. During the meeting they discussed social and charitable programs which are planned to be implemented in Bratsk in 2013 and financed by OJSC Ilim Group. As a reminder, an Agreement between the town and Ilim Group, had signed several years ago, helps to carry out important social projects in Bratsk. Annually Ilim Group allocates approx. 100 mln rubles for such projects.

In particular, around RUB 30 million will be invested to support educational institutions and projects, including creation of additional places in kindergartens, and RUB 55 million allocated for assistance programs for children's and amateur sports. Health service for children is also a priority. For this purpose Ilim Group allocated nearly 10 mln rubles via Ilim-Garant. Ilim Group will also provide its support to orphans, unemployed retired workers and veterans of the Bratsk Mill, and medical and cultural institutions of Bratsk. The meeting with Konstantin V. Klimov was organized precisely to discuss specific aspects of implementation of these programs.

The results of the activity of Ilim Garant corporate Charity Fund for the last three years have also been discussed during the meeting. For example, in 2011-2012 the Fund allocated about RUB 245 million for development of social projects in Bratsk. In particular, the Fund invested in renovation of the City Hospital #5 (cardiology unit, infectious diseases unit, gastroenterology unit, endoscopy unit etc), and purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment, such as new photofluorographic unit for Children’s Hospital and artificial lung ventilation apparatus, and medication for children and adults. Moreover, Ilim Garant allocated funds for construction and repair of playgrounds in kindergartens, purchase and repair of computers in schools, and other projects of importance to the city.
