OREANDA-NEWS. A ground antenna measuring 9 meters in diameter is currently being installed at one of ISS-Reshetnev’s new production sites.

The redirecting ground antenna which is now being installed at the company’s new facility “Antenna field”, is to become part of the regional Earth remote sensing center. The antenna will enable more effective and reliable control of satellites used for socio-economic applications.

It is planned that the facility will comprise 9 new antennas. They will be used for receiving telemetry data from Russian-made satellites. The project is being realized within the framework of the Federal Space Program for the years 2006-2015. The new antennas will be integrated into the Central Tracking, Telemetry and Command Station “Zheleznogorsk” which is based on ISS-Reshetnev’s facilities.
