OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2013. Production of all necessary for road construction should be organized at domestic enterprises. This was started by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Head of the Government said that now the Ukrainian roads require drastic modernization, cause modern road began to build only in the last three years, the rest of the road are not responsible for technical performance of modern load. However, "in each time there is an opportunity."

"Road construction - is stable jobs and loading of domestic production", said the Head of the Government.

According to Mykola Azarov, it is unreasonably to give large amounts of production to producers in other countries. For example, last year the Ukrainian road workers imported from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, more than 300 thousand tons of bitumen, which gave UAH 2 billion "minus" in the foreign trade balance.

"The obvious goal: to organize the production all needed for road construction at domestic enterprises," Mykola Azarov said.

The Head of Government instructed the Vice Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko together with the Minister of Industrial Policy Mykhailo Korolenko and Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak to start developing emergency measures and long-term program of production at domestic plants quality bitumen, and strengthen high-tech materials, drainage and bridge construction, other materials and road-building machinery.
