OREANDA-NEWS. The Venture Angels fund founded by Vitaly Polekhin, Head of the SKOLKOVO Investor Club and SKOLKOVO Executive MBA-3 graduate, has been ranked eighth in 20 Russia’s best venture funds put together by Hopes&Fears.

The ranking includes fund that have been operating for more than two years and have already made investments in more than three Russian startups. Venture funds have been assessed in accordance with the following criteria: the number of Russian startups in the portfolio; amount of finance that has been already invested and is about to be; average shares in the startups and cost growth rates of the portfolio companies.

Venture Angels was fiunded in 2009. Its portfolio comprises three projects, including Printio, an online platform for design of T-shirts, mugs and other small articles. A deal with the fourth startup – BioFoodLab, the company founded by Elena Shifrina, SKOLKOVO MBA-1 graduate – is to take place in April. Apart from that the Venture Angels fund actively cooperates with the SKOLKOVO Entrepreneurial Community providing expertise and consultancy to young entrepreneurs.
