OREANDA-NEWS. UTair Aviation will serve as an official carrier for the 2013 Biathlon World Cup Final, takes place in Khanty-Mansiysk from March 11 to March 17, 2013.

More than 500 athletes and trainers of combined teams from from Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Slovenia, Rumania, Great Britain, Netherlands, Hungary, Canada, Norway, Finland, Bulgaria, Spain, Japan and the US flew aboard three chartered UTair flights from Oslo, Norway to Sochi on Boeing 737-800 aircraft to participate pre-game events. On March 11 UTair flew the teams from Sochi to Khanty-Mansiysk for the Biathlon World Cup Final.

After closing ceremonies for the Biathlon World Cup Final to be held on March 17 and 18, UTair will fly the biathletes from Khanty-Mansiysk to Oslo, Norway and Munich, Germany aboard special charter flights.

For spectators wishing to attend the games, UTair Aviation will operate additional domestic flights with ATR-72 aircraft. A special flight from Tyumen Airport to Khanty-Mansiysk will depart at 9.40 on March 15 and a flight from Khanty-Mansiysk to Yekaterinburg and Tyumen will depart at 19.00 on March 17, all times local.
