OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2013. In February 2013 the JSC TATNEFT was included in the top 10 Russian energy companies among the largest companies in the oil and gas industry with the highest level of information transparency.

TATNEFT ranks fourth in the transparency rating. The high score of the Company’s transparency level is the result of extensive work performed by the Joint Stock Company’s services aimed at developing and strengthening the image of the TATNEFT’s business reputation, as well as increasing the efficiency of the Company’s information and communication activities.

There was a meeting of the standing commission on labor safety of structural divisions and management companies held at JSC TATNEFT in February of the current year. The annual forum attended by representatives of Rostechnadzor, State Labour Inspectorate for the Republic of Tatarstan, Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan discussed the activities’ results for 2012 and guidelines for protection of labor, industrial and fire safety, prevention of occupational injuries and accidents in 2013.

For the purpose of rating the information transparency of Russian fuel and energy complex companies the Agency for Political and Economic Communications (APEC) interviewed 25 renowned experts: economists, political analysts, investment and industry analysts and economics journalists. The evaluation was conducted for 75 largest companies representing nuclear, gas, oil, coal and oil industries, transportation of crude oil and petroleum products and electric power industry.

Each expert assessed the level of the companies’ information transparency and then the arithmetic means of expert reviews (grade point average) were determined.
