FAS Initiated Case regarding Ministry of Defence
OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) suspects that the Ministry of Defence created advantages to certain bidders in breach of Article 17 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The Ministry unreasonably refused to allow participation of “South Urals Specialized Utilization Centre” CJSC in auctions for selling redeemed military movables.
The auctions were organized in accordance with the Federal Law “On Privatization”. The Department of the Ministry of Defence decided that the overall share of the Russian Federation in the authorized capital of “South Urals Specialized Utilization Centre” CJSC was over 43 %, and did not allow the company to take part in the auctions.
The case was initiated upon a petition of “South Urals Specialized Utilization Centre” CJSC.
The Commission will consider the case on 1st April 2013.
