Ukraine Plans UAH 152mn in Subsidies for Young Cattle Breeding
OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2013. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has prepared all the documents necessary for start of a new stage of payment subsidies for young livestock breeding. This year it is planned UAH 152.3 mln for the mentioned payments. And owing to this program it is forecast to increase cattle heads in private economies by 304.6 thousand. This was informed by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhniuk.
“Thus far the country has completely compensated subventions for growing and keeping of young cattle. Together with that, it has already been signed all the documents necessary for implementation this year’s stage of action of the program. So, within nearest time the country will start receiving documents from villagers for payment of the subsidies,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk noted.
“We forecast that in the current year this program will stimulate the growth of cattle in private farms by 304.6 thousand heads. And we are ready to continue this program on a constant basis, as our task is to organize family farms and raise marketability of milk purchased from farmers,” Mykola Prysyazhniuk emphasized.
As it was the previous year, the rate of subsidy amounts UAH 250 for every three months of keeping livestock till reaching of 15-months age.
It should be reminded that in May of last year the Government introduced payment of the budget dotation to farmers for keeping and preserving of young cattle. Totally almost 340 villagers took part in this program in 2012.
