Central Bank of India Held Meeting of State Level Bankers Committee
OREANDA-NEWS. 150th Meeting of State Level Bankers' Committee was held at Bhopal jointly chaired by Sh. M.V. Tanksale, Chairman & Managing Director, Central Bank of India & Sh. R. Parsuram, IAS, Chief Secretary, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. The meeting was graced by Hon' Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan & Hon' Minister for Commerce & Industries Shri Kailash Vijayvergiya.
Shri M. V. Tanksale expressed his utmost elation on being an integral part of the 150th SLBC Meeting. Once a backward state, it has now shown a surplus of 1.27% in GDP of the state for the financial year 2013-14. He also appreciated the role played by Govt. of M.P. in allocating Rs.3000 Crores additional budget for Agriculture & Allied Activities, 8 hours continuous supply of electricity daily to farmers, Provision of Rs.4765 Crores for irrigation, Promotion of Organic Farming, and establishment of 250 Customer Service Centres (Grahak Suvidha Kendra) and many other progressive steps which are playing a pivotal role in the benefit and upliftment of the common masses. He assured to reach the target of Annual Credit Plan (ACP) till the end of March 2013, which has already reached the mark of 72%.
The newly launched Higher Education Loan Application Monitoring System of Department of Institutional Finance (DIF) was inaugurated by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan under which an applicant can apply for an education loan which will be forwarded to the bank of his/her choice.
Shri R. Parsuram urged all banks to finalize the MOU of Chief Minister Yuva Swarozgar Yojana, newly launched scheme by Govt. of M.P. as soon as possible for its effective implementation.
