Gazpromneft Gas Station Network Sales Grew by 33 Percent in 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. The Gazpromneft fueling station network sold a total of 7.5 million tons of petroleum products in Russia and CIS countries in 2012, which is 33 percent more than in 2011. Average daily fuel sales at gas stations in Russia and the CIS grew by 24 percent to 16.8 tons. Sales to corporate clients grew by 42 percent.
The growth in sales volumes is a result of the modernization and optimization of the Gazpromneft gas station network, as well as improved efficiency at each individual station. As of early 2013, the Gazpromneft gas station network in Russia and the CIS countries consists of a total of 1265 stations. In 2012, 79 stations were built or acquired, 85 were completely renovated, and 56 gas stations were rebranded.
Revenue from sales of accompanying goods and services grew by 49 percent, while the number of gas stations with stores grew by 30 percent, from 584 to 758.
In 2012, Gazpromneft gas stations were opened in Kurgan Oblast and Ukraine; the G-Drive Racing motorsports promotion project was launched; the product line of Gazpromneft brand was expanded; and new premium goods under the G-Drive brand hit the market. The first multi-fuel complex was also opened in Saint Petersburg, which has the facilities to fuel cars not only with gasoline and diesel fuel, but also with two types of natural gas, including compressed natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
"The further expansion of the Gazpromneft gas station network will make it possible to provide high-quality fuel to an even larger number of consumers. One of the most important tasks in 2013 will be the major renovation of gas stations acquired from MTK, Mosnefteprodukt, and Korimos in Moscow and Moscow Oblast. We also plan to expand the network in the Northwestern region and in Kazakhstan. This year, several more Gazpromneft multi-fuel complexes will open in the Central and Northwestern regions, which will allow us to stimulate use of compressed natural gas as a motor vehicle fuel," noted Gazprom Neft Regional Sales Director Alexander Krylov.
