MOESK Plans to Increase Capacity of Substation Mayakovskaya
OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2013. Within the framework of realization of Investment Program Moscow United Electric Grid Company plans in the nearest years to modernize 8 of 13 high-voltage substations in Central district of the capital.
Thus, at substation “Mayakovskaya” it is supposed to replace transformers 80 MVA to transformers with capacity of 125 MVA. As a result installed capacity will grow by 90 MVA. Besides power equipment at substation new cubicle switchboard 10 kV with vacuum circuit-breakers and new system of relay protection on microprocessor base will be installed. By the way this is the second modernization of power centre from the moment of its construction at the beginning of seventies.
Note that substation “Mayakovskaya” provides with electric power tens of socially and economically important objects, situated in the very centre of Moscow. Among them: JSC “Tryokhgornaya manufactory”, shopping centers “Okhotniy ryad” and “Smolenskiy”, hotels “Moscow” and “Mariott Grand”, residential complexes near the Arbat.
According to words of Director of branch of JSC “MOESK” – “Central Electric Girds” Roman Voynov, only in the current year MOESK invests to modernization of high-voltage objects of the centre of Moscow more than RUR bln 1. At all power facilities advanced technological solutions, connected with closed placement of equipment, installation of SF 6 cubicle switchboards (SF6 CSB), usage of modern commutation equipment, automated management systems, as well as devices of commercial accounting and control of electric power supply, will be introduced.
