OREANDA-NEWS. Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group (“NCSP Group” or “the Group”) (LSE: NCSP, Moscow Exchange: NMTP) announces that on the 9th and 10th of April 2013 its subsidiary “Primorsk Oil Terminal” (POT) will be hosting a meeting of the Port and Terminal Committee of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF).

OCIMF (www.ocimf.com) is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products. It was formed in 1970 and the current membership of OCIMF comprises 93 companies worldwide.

POT General Director Andrey Tereschenko said: "It is a great honour that the Forum chose POT to be a host for its Committee meeting in Russia. We have been members of OCIMF since 2008, actively participating in several working groups and committees. One of the results of our collaboration is that POT is the only port in Russia that has adopted MTIS (Marine Terminal Information System), the latest international standard for terminal management developed by OCIMF.”

POT has considerable experience in hosting international events in the field of oil transportation safety. In 2010 POT hosted the OCIMF Eastern European Terminal Forum (EETF), which was attended by major international oil companies.

During the April gathering the committee of the Forum will address the most pressing issues the industry faces globally including measures forensuring safe operation of the Russian oil terminals, the introduction of new information systems and standards for marine terminals as well as maritime risk management in the transportation and processing of hydrocarbons.

The Forum will be attended by representatives of public authorities, port administrations, top managers from - Russian and foreign oil companies and ship owners.
