OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2013. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 6 instructed vice Prime Minister Konstyantyn Gryshchenko to propose a strategic decision to increase the domestic production of medicines.

"For several years, we have fundamentally changed the ratio of domestic and imported drugs at the Ukrainian market," Mykola Azarov said, noting that the President insists, stressing that it is a matter of national security.

Besides, according to him, the program involves the creation of economic revitalization of its own production of vaccines, diagnostic tools and critically needed medicines.

"Therefore, I instruct vice Prime Minister Konstyantyn Gryshchenko comprehensively to analyze these and other problems of the pharmaceutical market, the challenges set by the public and market participants, and offer the same integrated their solution, given the European perspective of Ukraine," Mykola Azarov said.
